GC1, GC2 or kraft board? Choosing the right material

The choice of material determines the look, feel and price of your packaging. Three classics come up again and again:

• GC1 – fully bleached, white on both sides, premium look. Ideal for cosmetics and premium goods.
• GC2 – a proven all-rounder with a white top side, economical for many uses.
• Kraft board – natural brown, robust and sustainable in appearance, ideal for food and zero-waste concepts.

Grammages between 250 and 450 g/m² cover most folding cartons. For heavy products or shipping, laminating onto corrugated board is worthwhile.
