Brochures and catalogues: planning binding, paper and page count

Whether it is a product catalogue, an image brochure or a price list – printed materials remain a powerful tool in B2B sales. They sit on desks, are taken away from trade fairs and passed around within teams. For your catalogue to convince, binding, paper and page count should fit together from the start.

Page count determines the binding

Plan the page count early, as it affects layout, paper choice and cost alike.

The right paper

A slightly heavier cover with finishing such as soft-touch or spot UV coating gives the catalogue weight and value without making the inner pages more expensive.

Run length and printing process

For short runs and personalised versions, digital printing is often the most economical choice. For larger runs, offset printing plays to its strengths in unit cost and colour consistency. Read when each process pays off in our article Offset or digital printing.

Colours you can rely on

Product catalogues in particular must reproduce colours reliably – customers should later receive exactly what they saw in the catalogue. We work with colour management to ISO 12647 and check your print data free of charge before production.
